IMD sponsor Bath Rugby player for third year
September 2, 2019
IMD Group are delighted to have again renewed their sponsorship of the immensely talented Bath Rugby player, Semesa Rokoduguni (Rocco) for the 2019/20 season. This is the third consecutive year that IMD, along with subsidiary companies, IMD Consultancy Ltd and BMC Ltd have sponsored the Bath winger, now in his eighth season with the Club.
Last season may not have turned out to be a vintage season for Rocco – having sustained a knee injury early in the New Year, but he still managed to end the campaign as joint top try-scorer. Three tries in the Gallagher Premiership, two in the European Champions Cup and four in the Premiership Rugby Cup saw Rocco tie with fellow Fijian-born England international, Joe Cokanasiga with nine tries apiece. Four of these tries came in Bath Rugby’s memorable 52-0 win over Gloucester in the Premiership Rugby Cup in January.
Ben Wells, Chief Commercial Officer at Bath Rugby commented on the renewal: ‘IMD Group continue to show their commitment to Bath Rugby and more specifically Semesa by once again renewing their sponsorship for the 2019/20 season. The Club are blessed with talent throughout the squad and there is no question that Semesa helps to continually raise the bar in terms of standards set. Under the guidance of Stuart Hooper, we are all looking forward to seeing what this group can achieve.’
CEO of IMD Group, Dean Taylor commented “Semesa’s experience as a Lance Corporal in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards along with his continued commitment and success as a professional sportsman working at the highest level meant he was again first choice for IMD Group’s sponsorship. Everyone at IMD’s learning and development facility, BMC (Bristol Management Centre), through which many Armed Services delegates pass during resettlement to the civilian workforce, as well as those involved in our management consultancy team are looking forward to following his fabulous try-scoring form this season.”

Starting with an inspiring tour of some of Bristol’s most famous street art, including amazing pieces by Banksy, Nick Walker, Stik and Alex Lucas, the IMD team was suitably inspired to create their own graffiti tags and some street art of their own.
The results? Well, you can judge for yourselves…
