IMD are delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Williams as Permanent Recruitment Lead for the Group.
Ben has spent his career to date in sales and recruitment. In his most recent roles, he has worked as a recruiter for IT Infrastructure and Support Engineers. His experience in finding not just the right skills, but the right people for the companies he works for will be invaluable to IMD in their next phase of growth.
Ben said “I’ve joined IMD at an exciting time of growth and development and feel privileged to be part of an amazing team of people. I been given the opportunity to share my 4 years’ experience recruiting to help the company move onto bigger and better things and to learn from some truly talented individuals. IMD open new London Office

IMD Group are pleased to announce the opening of a new London office, as part of their ongoing expansion. The company first established a base in the capital in September this year, shortly after the completion of an MBO, which was achieved with the support of private equity backers, Chiltern Capital.
IMD have continued to grow their consultancy team and move into new markets, which has now resulted in a move to new premises. Their new London base is located at Lion Court, 25 Procter Street in the west end of London. Principal Consultant, Ryan Parry is heading up the London office and leading recruitment to grow the consultancy team based there.

New Senior Consultant for IMD

IMD are delighted to announce that David Phillips has joined their growing team as a Senior Consultant.
David is an accomplished IT Project Manager and Senior Solutions Manager. He has enjoyed a career spanning nearly 30 years leading and delivering business-critical Oracle E-business suite, Oracle application and ERP migration and upgrade projects into managed cloud services for clients across diverse sectors.
David is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner, with a consistent track record in overseeing the full project lifecycle. He brings to IMD a broad skill set encompassing project management, solutions development, ERP project execution, service design, services solutioning, project turnaround, sales support, BAU planning, project estimating and contract revision.
David has previously formed and led cross-functional and remote teams to achieve excellent results. He is widely recognised for his continuous success in building and maintaining collaborative relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and clients.
David says “Just in my first few days I know that I have
made the right decision in joining IMD Group. Everyone is welcoming and
supportive and I am looking forward to help IMD continuing its focus on
customer success and company growth. It’s a good feeling to be excited about
work again and I now realise that had been missing for a long time.”
When not working Dave helps coach a junior rugby team. He is also involved in developing Inclusive Rugby with Bristol Bears Community Foundation for families to play a sport together, older people looking for fun fitness and social activities, and for young adults with learning challenges.

Senior Consultant joins IMD

IMD are delighted to have welcomed Katie Holmes to join their growing team of consultants. Katie is an experienced consultant and joins IMD from a delivery management role at Techmodal, where she has been responsible for co-ordinating and releasing a large supply chain software solution into the Army. She started her career with BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a software developer. Katie has been able to draw on this experience to provide technical consulting expertise across a range of projects in the defence sector, including collaborative projects at Army HQ, Navy Command HQ and Dstl.
Katie has successfully managed project teams delivering software solutions into a variety of government and commercial clients, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement. She is passionate about communicating, coaching and delivering quality solutions, and is looking forward to applying this to projects at IMD.
Outside of work, Katie channels this in coaching both trampoline and triathlon as well as being a keen participant. She is one of the youngest national trampoline judges in the UK, and has her sights set on a couple of extreme triathlons in 2020 just to keep things interesting.

Steve also considers some of the pitfalls of change management with focus on the principle reasons for change not going according to plan, including looking at why some people are not so good at embracing change. Identifying the general phases of a change plan and the effect different types of people will have on the progress of change, Steve provides some insights into how to get past the crucial tipping point to ensure the desired change is carried through.

The days are getting shorter but the IMD team continues to grow and this week we are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Junior Consultant, John Wilson.
John joins us from one
of Bristol’s leading art’s organisations, Spike Island Artspace. At
Spike Island John led a number of key estate
transformation projects. These included a major capital development
project, the implementation of an electronic access system and various building
developments and refurbishments. John credits these experiences with the
realisation that he relishes taking on complex projects. John consolidated this project management experience with a
Prince2 qualification and is really looking forward to developing his skills
further with IMD Group.
John says “I am thrilled to be joining IMD at this
juncture. It is an exciting time for the company and I’m looking forward to
working with and learning from the exceptional team here. There is a wealth of
talent and experience here and I hope I can add to that as the company
continues to grow.”
John also has experience working in telecommunications, having worked for Bath based SME Gradwell Communications as Provisioning Lead, a position that developed his ability to build strong client relationships. Prior to that, various customer facing positions have given him the ability to deliver first class customer service. In his spare time, you will find John on a tennis court, golf course, football pitch, or any number of sporting locations.

IMD are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Chris Mountain to the role of Director of Business Development. Chris is a senior business development and sales executive with a depth of knowledge and experience in both public and private sectors. He has led the development of strategy and key campaign plans for a number of businesses from tier 1 suppliers to SME and managed some very successful sales teams.
Chris comes from a military background having served a full and successful career with the Royal Corps of Signals. He is driven by finding the best possible solution for customers through open and honest dialogue. He has delivered success for companies in key customers including the Met Police, Ministry of Justice, UK Home Office and ISS Corsham.
When not at work Chris enjoys playing golf to a reasonable
level and following Chelsea, Bath and England Rugby.
On his appointment, Chris said “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work with Dean Taylor and IMD Group , renewing some old relationships and developing new, in a company that is full of talent and ambition. I look forward to making a real difference for both IMD and our customers.”
