Cyber Essentials Plus certification
IMD Group are pleased to announce that they have recently been successful in securing the Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

This award reflects our overall commitment to cyber and information security and provides independent verification that our business is compliant with the highest level of cyber security standard.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-endorsed standard designed to help organisations of all sizes to minimise their security risk and demonstrate a commitment to the protection of personal information relating to employees, customers, partners, and investors.

The Cyber Essentials scheme, part of the UK’s National Cyber Security Programme, covers common security threats such as malware infections, social engineering attacks, and hacking. Its purpose is to minimise cyber security risks in government supply chains by encouraging organisations to adopt good security practices. Holding the certification is mandatory for many government and public sector contracts and to obtain certification, organisations must undergo annual assessment of the security controls in place to mitigate risks from internet-borne threats.

The scheme ensures compliance in the five basic control areas that all organisations should address in order to mitigate the risk from common cyber threats – Access Control, Secure Configuration, Software updates, Malware protection and Firewalls/Routers. Having previously held the Cyber Essentials award, IMD Group has adopted further measures to protect against cyber attack. To achieve the higher level Cyber Essentials Plus certification, the business underwent rigorous independent inspection and hands-on technical verification.

IMD are proud to demonstrate our committed approach to cybersecurity and continuing to work and undertake Government contracts in a secure digital environment.
